Week 1: “Shot In The Dark”

Back to using my large format camera with FILM! Started with a box of 4 X 5 Tri-X Pan film ( never my favourite but better than Tri-X! ). Processed in D-23. Did some exposure and development experiments. Very slow lens ( f8 ) makes it hard to frame up shots on the ground glass. This was shot wide open ( f8 ) to narrow the depth of field. Negs really dark, hard to pull detail out of shadows. Scanner has a limit to how much it can pull out of the highlights ( dark bits of neg. ). Found a light leak in the camera where I pulled out the shutter control on the side of the camera when I refurbed it ( Graflex Crown Graphic ).

“Reimagined” Graflex Crown Graphic with Sinar 4×5 ground glass / Film Holder mod. & Nikkor-SW 90mm 1:8.
Old faithful Minolta Flash Meter IV but looking for another spot-meter!
